Corporate Ergonomics & Rehab in Physiotherapy

Ergonomics, derived from the Greek words "Ergo" meaning work and "Nomo's" meaning laws, is the science of work and a person’s relationship with that work. It is a scientific discipline focused on analyzing and improving the interaction between humans, machines, equipment, and the work environment.

By considering human body physiology, as well as the integration of new technologies and designs, ergonomics enhances productivity, performance, and safety in the workplace.

Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI)

Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI) occur when fine movements of the hands, fingers, or other parts of the body are performed repetitively, hour after hour, day after day. This continuous strain leads to stress, muscle strain, lactic acid buildup, and low energy. Over time, repeated stress can cause abrasions, inflame muscles and nerves, and result in tingling, numbness, or hypersensitivity. If left untreated, this cycle can become chronic.

RSI often lacks a specific pathological cause, but its symptoms can manifest as muscle or nerve pain, tingling, or weakness. Due to increasing job demands, more people are experiencing these issues, and the average age of affected individuals is decreasing.
